Glenda Maxwell

Glenda is originally from Methven and has lived in Southland since completing her Comprehensive Nursing Training at Southland Polytechnic in 1989. She has clinical experience in medical, surgical, geriatrics, paediatrics and neo-natal nursing. Glenda holds a Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, an Advanced Auditing Skills qualification and has also met the requirements for the New Zealand Triage Course. She has been involved in Health and Disability Services Standards Certification since 2000.

In her role as Quality Improvement Manager, she is the Coordinator of Maternity, Occupational Health and Safety, Infection Prevention and Control and Family Violence. Glenda enjoys working with a fantastic group of people in an environment that is supportive, innovative, and challenging.

Glenda has been married to her husband, Doug, since 1991 and they have three children. She enjoys watching sport, swimming, photography, reading and spending time with her family.
