PRACTICE NURSE
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our established general practice team at Gore Health Centre. This is a 0.6 FTE (3 days per week) position, working in a well-supported, patient-focused environment.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality primary care, with a broad and varied scope typical of general practice nursing.
Key responsibilities include:
· Chronic disease management (e.g. gout, cardiovascular risk)
· Immunisations
· Cervical screening and women’s health
· Wound care
· Health promotion and patient education
· Care planning and recall systems
· Comprehensive care across the life cycle
We are looking for a nurse who is confident, organised, and comfortable working independently within a general practice setting.
You will have:
· Current APC with the Nursing Council of New Zealand
· Experience in general practice nursing (preferred)
· Authorised vaccinator status (or willingness to obtain)
· Strong clinical assessment skills
· Excellent communication and patient engagement skills
