Máiréad, from Ireland, trained as a nurse in Scotland, where she met the man of her dreams and moved with him to his home in Waikaka. They have a son and daughter, and their whanau is headed by Charlie, aka Lady Charles, the cat.
Máiréad has enjoyed nursing in a variety of specialties and roles and her favourite place to be is wherever she can spend time with family and friends.
