Community Generosity Helps Strengthen Patient Care

During the 2024/2025 year, the generosity of local individuals and community organisations enabled Gore Health to purchase a range of important medical equipment for Gore Hospital and District Nursing Service.

These donations included a new Edan ECG machine for the Emergency Department through a private donation, a bladder scanner for the District Nursing Service funded by the Gore Pakeke Lions, and two Masimo Rad-5 Pulse Oximeters donated by the Freemasons for use in the Emergency Department and Maternity.

The Emergency Department also received a Bair Hugger patient warming system, helping provide comfort and care for patients experiencing hypothermia, while the Gore River Valley Lions donated a beautiful table for the Whānau Room reflection area, incorporating the original mosaic from the hospital's former reception area.

We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who has contributed. These generous gifts continue to make a meaningful difference for our patients, our staff and the wider community.
