Vacancy: Practice Manager

Gore Health Centre is seeking a proactive and organised Practice Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our General Practice, supporting our clinical and administrative teams to deliver exceptional patient care. Previous management experience within a healthcare, primary care, or related environment is preferred; however, applicants with proven and relevant management and leadership experience in another sector will also be considered.

The Practice Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the practice, with responsibility for staff leadership, operational management, compliance, workforce planning, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role is responsible for coordinating the majority of non-clinical functions within the practice while fostering a positive, collaborative workplace culture.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

·         Strong people leadership and team development skills.

·         Excellent organisational and time management abilities.

·         Experience with rostering, workforce planning, and recruitment.

·         Sound understanding of privacy, compliance, and quality frameworks.

·         Strong communication and relationship management skills.

·         Confidence using information systems and software.

·     The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and patient focus.

·         Proven proficiency in IT systems and applications is essential.
